Cellulite is kind of this enigmatic thing. In lots of women, it can appear without any weight gain or diet changes. So trying to figure out the cause can lead to a lot of confusion among women. Lots of women go from having a smooth and pretty toned lower body with no issues, to getting dimples and shadows on their lower bodies and their skin begins to sag.
What happens next is that they start to look for answers – and most of the time they look for answers in the wrong places. They find out incorrect information by talking to friends who really don’t know the answer themselves, from numerous women’s magazines that have different information and theories each month, and of course the internet which has a ton of misleading places to look for answers. With so much contradicting information they just become even more confused.
Most women don’t know that muscles can atrophy at any stage of life which means muscles get softer, deflated, and flattened. When these muscles atrophy they aren’t able to support the skin anymore and everything sags down. This causes the appearance of cellulite which is the dimples and shadows that show.
With so much information about cellulite removal out there, it’s hard to know what can really work to help reverse muscle atrophy, and what can’t. Liposuction is not only a dangerous option, but it often makes cellulite worse. The procedure only removes fat but doesn’t affect the skin tone. Body wraps can also be a dangerous option and can lead to serious health issues, and in some cases, death.
In order to reverse the causes of muscle atrophy and for fast cellulite removal, a woman has to get those muscles stimulated properly through a targeted toning routine. She has to get the muscles to tone, to strengthen, and to become more-dense. This will help the muscles to fill up to their physical potential and to take their proper shape. Once she does this, those muscles then push out against the top skin layers and this gives the skin back that firm and smooth shape and look.
Once she gets the effects she wants then the maintenance is basically continuing to do the same proper targeted toning routine that got her the results in the first place. She has to prevent the muscles from going back into atrophy and aim to keep them firm and toned.

Cellulite is a proven burden for most women. Here are some natural tips to help reduce its appearance. Cellulite is a nightmare to so many people with the majority being ladies. It denies many people the much-desired smooth skin around the hips and thighs by making the skin resemble an orange peel. Many women have this orange peel condition and they would do anything to get rid of it. This brings our attention to the question of how to reduce cellulite in our bodies. We have prepared a compilation of easy procedures that you can follow to regain your smooth skin.
Cellulite refers to a layer of fat deposits that are found just below the skin. This means that reducing the deposits will involve inducing the body to break them down while preventing further deposits. Here are a few procedures that you can follow to effectively achieve this:
1. Avoid a Bad Lifestyle:
Toxins are the primary causes of cellulite in our bodies. A high level of toxins in the bloodstream forces the body to form fat deposits in order to store them and reduce the exposure to vital body organs. Avoiding alcohol, smoking and excessive intake of caffeine will prevent buildup of such toxins that the body tries to get rid of.
2. Green Tea:
Intake of several cups of green tea per day is a proven method of breaking down fat deposits in our bodies.
3. Physical Exercises:
Having a good schedule for physical exercise increases the natural breakdown of fats and can induce the formation of muscles beneath the skin. This will give your skin a smooth feel.
4. Taking antioxidants:
Foods that are rich in antioxidants such as oranges and citrus will help protect your skin cells and help regain a smooth skin tone.
One of the most important steps towards recovery from this condition is accepting the situation and being positive about your body. These procedures will bear fruit in a matter of weeks and it is vital to be positive in order to follow them strictly. Any guide on how to reduce cellulite will try to harden your body so that it can naturally reduce the fat deposits under the skin.

A question as old as cellulite itself. Many women, and some men, feel that their cellulite is a direct result of some action or in-action on their part but is this really the case? I will attempt to explain what cellulite is, how it occurs and in the process hopefully alleviate some of the guilt a few of you may be feeling.
So what is cellulite?
It is a change in the skin that occurs in most females and appears as dimpling or a ‘cottage cheese’ look in areas generally from the stomach down. The look of the skin is altered due to structural changes occurring under the surface, namely fat deposits collecting there. These fat deposits are contained within chambers and separated by collagen fibers underneath the skin. These chambers increase in size for a number of reasons including:
Genetics – There is an inherited likelihood of cellulite,
Becoming overweight – Too much fat in each chamber,
Age – The fibers shrink and tighten pulling the skin ‘downward’,
Hormones (Oestrogen) – Stimulates the storage of fat for purposes such as menstruation, pregnancy and breastfeeding,
Poor blood circulation – The fibers shrink due to lack of oxygen and the accumulation of waste products resulting in the tell-tale cellulite look,
Poor lymph drainage – The waste products can not be drained from the area and increase the fat cells,
Exercise – Or lack of, can be a cause as there is no increased blood flow to the areas,
High fat foods – An increase in fat intake can cause the excess fat to be stored in the problem areas,
Sun – Lengthy exposure to the sun accelerate the skin aging process,
Dieting – On and off dieting causes the body to store fat in the problem areas in preparation for the next ‘starvation period’, and
Stress – A highly stressful lifestyle causes the release of hormones which are associated with cellulite appearing.
How can I avoid cellulite?
The short answer is, maybe you can’t. There are a number of things you can do to reduce the likelihood, the amount and the time at which cellulite will appear but for the vast majority of women, you will develop cellulite at some stage. Some of the things you can do to fend off its arrival are:
Diet – Eat a proper, low calorie diet consisting of vegetables, fruits and lean meats. Avoid high fat, sugary and processed foods.
Exercise – Have a regular exercise regime consisting of at least three sessions per week.
Slip, Slop, Slap – Slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen and slap on a hat when in the sun for long periods.
Avoid stress – Easier to say than do but there are numerous calmative techniques that can be used or applied in most situations.
So is it my fault?
Yes, er.. no. Well maybe. Now that you know what factors can cause the appearance of cellulite you are armed with the tools needed to make changes to your life to hopefully delay or possibly avoid its appearance. For some women, cellulite will appear regardless of a healthy lifestyle but continued diligence and adherence to that lifestyle may reduce the severity.
How to Get Rid of Cellulite in Thighs?
By: Debby Smith
Cellulite is a dimple that is formed on the skin and this becomes obviously visible in most women. Everybody wants to get rid of this cellulite but still not all are succeeding. Cellulite and weight are not related to each other. Even slim women have cellulite layers that make them look unpleasant. Thigh is an area where cellulite is found in most women. You will be able to shape up your thighs and get rid of cellulite if you follow proper diets and exercises.
Toxins, fat and fluid accumulate in certain parts of the body and form cellulite. Thigh is an important area for women where fat gets accumulated easily. To get rid of cellulite, you have to concentrate on losing fat. When you lose fat from your thighs, you can end up with shaped thighs. Fat accumulate in the inner thigh area resulting in ugly cellulite. You have to switch to low carb and low fat diets to eliminate cellulite that is present in the thighs. You can take frequent healthy meals that are low in fat and rich in other nutrients.
Water helps in removal of toxins from the body and hence you have to drink a lot of water. This will keep your body hydrated and you will be able to achieve fat loss much faster. The second important thing that is required is the exercise. Cardio exercises will not help you get rid of cellulite. You have to do strength training exercises that concentrate on the muscles in the thighs. These exercises will eliminate fat and cellulite at the same time. You can also build lean muscles bringing good shape to your thighs.
For reducing cellulite in the thighs, you can go to a gym and practice exercising on a few machines that work on legs. Leg curl, hip abductor, adductor, and leg press are great machines that are available in many health clubs. You can exercise in these machines to reduce cellulite in both inner and outer thighs. If you cannot spend time and money for gym, you can still follow strength training exercises that concentrate on leg muscles. Pushups, squats and crunches help you reduce cellulite and tone muscles. Interval training is important that helps fast fat loss.
There is no shortcut to reducing cellulite and that too in thighs. You have to follow strict diets that are healthy and low in carbohydrates. Without proper exercises, you will not be able to achieve your goal.
